Is tomorrow your first time to the flower show? I got free tickets through work a few years ago and we waited until the last day to go. Holy. Crap. It was so crowded you couldn't move! Everything was REALLY neat, but I wish we would have been able to get closer and appreciate it more. Hopefully it's not so crowded on a friday for you!
Re: ::Lorelai::
I went about 6 years ago... not with Mom/Sis... I remember it being crowded and I thought it CRAZY my friend brought a stroller for her kid-cause of the crowds...
Yes, it'll be crowded... glad I have some height, though! I thought about wearing a really big hat, but figured the old bitties would get mad at that. My sis told me comfy shoes, comfy shoes! I'm just dreading the drive on the Scuhkill Expressway... (ok, I def spelled that wrong) at 9am-ugh!
Yah to free tickets cause I wasn't that lucky...
Cassie---if you visit, I'm sure there are a few who'd meet up w ya! I love walking around Phila... I have relatives who live in Old City and I think I'm there fairly often.
Luckily, I hope to be out of there by 2-3ish tomorrow to miss the horrendous rush hour! The NE extension isn't much fun,either... glad I get off at Quakertown and take back roads home!
Lore - that would be fun! Maybe sometime this spring. It's only a two hour bus ride for me.
I'm always yelling at my NY friends because they've never been - it's not far at all, you can totally make a day trip out of it, and it's completely walkable! Why not go?! Oh and fantastic restaurants with cheaper beer and food than NYC. Usually we go just for the day, but last May we went for a weekend and had a ridiculously fun time.
