Great foundation?

I am still pretty banged up (yes I know its only been 6 days but I am ready to start to look normal again).  I am looking for a really good foundation that wont dry out my skin.  I'd at least like to be able to tone down the bruising all over my face.  I also have to travel for work in about 10 days and will need to cover this as much as possible by then so I am hoping the combination between having more time and bangin' foundation will help.

 Suggestions?

Re: Great foundation?

  • I am currently using Revlon Photoready foundation and really like it.  I've heard great things about their ColorStay line as well!

  • If you are looking something for super coverage go to Sephora for Kat Von D's foundation. I used it for my tattoo when I did the pageant. it has super coverage. You can even go and they can test it on you so you can see if you like it. GL!!
  • I recently switched to Revlon Colorstay and while it's supposed to be buildable, I don't think it will provide the coverage you want. I get better coverage on problem spots using my concealer brush with bare escentuals "bright eyes". It's supposed to be an eye shadow, but it covers zits better than the foundation. But really, I ditto beckytobewed's suggestion of going to Sephora. I imagine you'd want something that has a pink tint to it to counteract the blue/green bruising.
  • I use Revlon COlorstay as well.  The girls over on F&B swear by it! I use an under eye make up first on my dark circles, yes at 26 I have horrible dark circles, and then use the foundation.  I agree with Terp though it may not provide the coverage you want but long term it definitely doesn't dry out my skin but also somehow doesn't make it oily.  Good Luck in your search....also, I've seen your pictures on facebook and it makes my insides hurt! haha

Actually, this is exactly what I do. I use Bare Escentuals and it works pretty well for me. I have some under-the-skin scarring on my cheeks and I also find that the Bright Eyes works better than the cover-up.
