F/U I hate health insurance co.!
I just spoke with my insurance to see if i could get any insight as to why this was considered pre-existing. The woman told me that if he had prior health insurance that we need to get a Certification of Creditable Coverage from his former health insurance and that they will reprocess the claim and it will most likely waive the "pre-existing condition" terms.
so fingers are crossed this will go smoothly!
what i dont understand is how these companies have any right to deny someone coverage bc of their pre-existing conditions. it's crap, they're evil!
Re: F/U I hate health insurance co.!
I hope that goes smooth! At least there is that option.
Pre-existing condition "rules" are weird. With the insurance I had through my last job, it wasn't considered pre-existing if I didn't get medical treatment in the last 12 months for it. I don't like the rules. What if you had no choice but to switch insurance with a condition?? Are you screwed on it until it's cured? Or do you have to ignore it for a year to not be hassled about it?
Not a fan of health insurance companies in general.
