I cannot deal with work today. My sinus headache is gone, at least.
I have a director who I cannot stand who I'm working on a project with. She loves 4 pm meetings on Fridays so I have that to look forward to. I have a Sr. VP who is a problem child and snipping at me for making him attend a meeting that he needs to because he doesn't communicate otherwise that he is doing what we have asked him to do with certain contracts.
I have a 400 page harassment policy to review by Monday morning to go over with corporate counsel.
And I have a US employee who is at our UK office and refuses to come back.
When can I start drinking?
Re: It needs to be 5 p.m.
Wow! If it were me, I would have a martini lunch
Good luck! The weekend isn't too far away!

That all sounds gross for a Friday

The employee in the UK refuses to come back? That's different..
I'm not against pouring a glass of wine to enjoy while working at home..I mean, it's almost afternoon anyway, right?
For all of you waltham residents, gordon's on Main Street has a free wine tasting every 1st friday of the month. I go to pick up my wine and head right to the tasting every time! It's so much fun and then you can grab your wine for the week!
Ooo, good tip!
While in Killington we went out for dinner at The Garlic and I ordered a glass of wine. They give you like 1/3 of the bottle in one glass! I had a good buzz going on for the rest of the night
I'm just sitting around, waiting for DH to call me to tell me that our elliptical has been delivered, so I can go home and help him get it in the house (we got the free, drop-it-off-on-your-curb shipping). But I have to go down to payroll because they're screwing up my paychecks lately, and I really don't want to... it's a 15 minute drive, and they don't seem to have a phone number. Ugh.
At least my work is done for the day.
Start drinking now and do your harassment policy review while drinking, it could turn out very interesting.
Is the director who does 4pm meetings on Friday the one who's replacing the boss you loved before?
Oh no! I told my boss and Sr VP that I would not be okay reporting to her. I've got a VP as a manager now!
