(BR) The Office - "the delivery"

No no no...I'm not pg

But I just finished watching the east coast airing of the 1hr episode where Pam goes into labour.

I know probably some of the girls on the west coast, might not have seen it, quite yet

Any east coast ladies catch it?

  • it just started here...so far so good...i love the office.  my fave so far...dwight, let's go bang it out...haha!

  • I watched and enjoyed the episode, but I was horrified to find out that Jim and Pam "stole" my super-secret very favorite baby name (Cecilia).  Now that it's been used by such a widely loved couple, it'll probably become popular again like Emma did after Ross & Rachel.

I know it's irrational and I don't have plans to get PG anytime soon and we've discussed 27 times how ridiculous this "name stealing" notion is, but still... I'm irritated!  The first time I see Cecilyah on a birth certificate, I will barf on it.

  • I nearly peed myself when the nurse suggested that Pam give the baby a bottle and Pam says, "No! I read in the book that it causes nipple confustion!!"

And the nurse is all like, "Great, then you know everything."

that was awesome!  i was like did they get nestie input for this episode???  especially since they focused on the difficulties of breast feeding.  honestly, before the nest, i never had a clue that breast feeding was so involved...i thought you whipped it out and it was all good...doh. Indifferent

the part where she was breastfeeding the wrong baby was pretty funny too!  or when michael was looking in the room and pam was pushing...his comment...that baby has a lot of hair  Indifferent

    i love the office!

    LMAO

  • So many funny anecdotes in this episode!

OMG Dwight is SO off the hook..typical Dwight. I'll never figure out how he pulled Pam's pretty (and normal) sister!

Oscar cracked me up when he told Michael not to bring a dictionary to the hospital, but to bring a thesaurus instead LOL

I LOVE Andy and Erin together. They are the new Pam and Jim :)

Nipple confusion...I've never heard of this but it was pretty dam funny!

When I DVR'd the wedding episode I watched it over and over. I love weddings!

  • I only caught the end of it w/ the nipple part :)  Hopefully I DVR'd it :)

  • I watched the show last night and it brought back wild memories of one NASTY nurse I had after Ben was born.  The nurses in L&D were beyond amazing but once we got up to the maternity unit, it was a totally different world.  The pressure they put on me to breast feed my child was awful.   But I kept at it.  It was really hard for both of us.

My favourite part was when they were asking to go home and the nurse said something like "you have 25 minutes to go".  That's exactly the attitude we got as well.  And after five days in there, I was going mental.  I didn't have any complications (had an amazing delivery) and Ben healed from his circumcision (sorry, TMI).

I had one nasty bootcamp lactiation consultant stand over me and forced me to call my local drug store to rent a breast pump. Luckily my cell phone was dead from 5 days in the hospital. And I didn't "rent" the $30/day hospital phone...hahaha, so screw her!

But I laughed my head off when she bf'd the wrong baby.  Woops!

  • I watched it too - totally funny, but I was really hoping there are not nurses like that in real life....Smile
