So we're going out to dinner tonight at Thai place with friends. I am a pretty finicky eater (well, I eat a lot of different things but usually Asian food is something I steer away from). We were told we had to go here.
What can I order that's not too spicy or crazy textured? Help. I'm lost.
Re: Thai food?
A lot of stuff will say "curry" - those are generally hot!
I imagine you could have some pad thai noodles, or there are generally other noodle dishes that would work.
And Tom Yum soup is very hot too btw.
Hopefully it is a menu that has a little chili symbol on it for the hot dishes

Pad Thai is usually the safest bet you can go with. It's really just meat (usually chicken) with rice noodles and a peanut sauce. Most places don't make it spicy at all.
Thai spring rolls are also good, as long as you don't mind that they are cold. They are like egg rolls, but wrapped in a rice sheet and served chilled. Usually very mild in flavor and crunchy.
Another great thing I love is sticky rice. It is a high-gluten rice with a great nutty flavor that you eat with your fingers. You can fill up on it and not worry about eating all your entree if you don't like it.
Any Buffalo people know good Thai places around? Still haven't found one around here.
I love Saigon Cafe (on Elmwood), but I've heard that Taste of Thai (on Hertel) is also good.
I've only been to Taste of Thai once, and it was yummy. Saigon Cafe is my fave though!
