Re: Weekend Plans?

  • The baby's party is this weekend! I am really excited but have a whole lot of food prep to do. Her tutu came out really cute. I can't wait for everyone to see her and hear her ( please let her stay forever ) name!

Tonight-Grocery shopping, menu tags, goodie bags, cut quilt squares

Saturday-Bake, bake, wait for the china to be delivered, bake

Sunday-Decorate, redecorate to be sure it's perfect, bother DW asking her if everything looks okay ten times, prep cold food, take a million pictures, worry about something or other, party time!

  • I am sure her party is going to be awesome!!!

Tonight - I have no idea. Out to dinner? Home?  We need to make turkey chili at some point.

Tomorrow - Make turkey chili if we don't do it tonight. Head to Virginia for a St. Patty's day parade. My friend and her family/friends always meet up at a local bar. I've been going for 15 years and it is funny to watch it evolve from a bunch of college kids drinking at 11am and staying till 8pm, to a bunch of post-collegiate single people drinking at 11am and staying till 5pm, to now a bunch of 30+ somethings who have a single drink at 11am (with lunch so we don't get sloshed) and leave by 12pm to catch the parade with our kids!   We'll go home, get the chili, and head back to Virginia to a party with L's co-workers/families.  I hate these kinds of parties. I am way too introverted for such things.

Sunday - clean, grocery shop, and GET OUT OF THE HOUSE!  It is supposed to be in the mid 50s - so the kids are getting the boot out of the house and we'll play outside for awhile - despite our 'hood still have 3 foot snow piles.

  • yay party time!! Have a blast!

Tonight is parent's night out at My Gym so Andrea and I will be enjoying a lovely dinner with friends...with Rosebud in tow :)

Tomorrow our local baseball stadium is opening for the season and they are doing a meet and greet with the players. I think Sprout will get a big kick out of it.  In the evening my parents are coming over for my mom's bday - we'll do cake and ice cream...and hopefully gift exchange if I can find something...Andrea insists we give her a carseat (she really would like it), but i just cant get over what a semi-selfish gift that would be.

Sunday will be Church and more hanging out w/ my mom. We're going to have gorgeous weather and I just cant wait to be outside!

  • Duchess - Have a wonderful party!!

Tonight - Home, packing, packing the car with things we need to bring to the house.

Tomorrow - Birthing class, then to the dealer to sign the title for my new car, then heading to our house! We are going to sleep there Saturday night to cut down on the driving back and forth (40 minutes each way) - I can't wait! Though I'm not really looking forward to sleeping on air mattress at 8 mos. pregnant... Indifferent

Saturday/Sunday - More painting and prep work at the house.  My parents are coming to help.  Hopefully we'll get a lot done!

  • Can't wait to hear all about the party!!

Tonight: Making pizza and hanging at home. Hopefully picking out some tile for our bathroom renovation.

Tomorrow: IUI! Relaxing at home. Dinner at a new restuarant in the city to celebrate our friend's bday. We're bailing on the bar hop afterwards to come home and hit the hay early.

Sunday: IUI! The weather's supposed to be beautiful. I would love to start getting the flower beds ready for planting and maybe grill dinner. I'm officially over winter and plan to start acting like Spring is here regardless of the technicalities.

  • This weekend is up in the air right now...

My IL's were in an accident with a drunk driver last night, they checked out fine at the hospital but are going to be really sore for awhile.  DW is at their house right now helping out with what she can.  I am so glad that they all had seatbelts on and nothing worse happened, they were lucky.

I had planned to go to yoga tonight but that might not be an option anymore since DW may not go to work so she can stay with them (we have one car right now).  We have tickets to see Alice In Wonderland at the El Capitan theater tomorrow night but might have to skip out on that too.  Sunday I'm sure will be spent helping them also.

I'm bummed that our plans are questionable but happy that everyone is okay.

  • Duchess - I can't wait to hear about the party, I'm sure it will be amazing!

Tonight: Bake a cake for my baby shower tomorrow. Yes, I'm making the cake for my own shower.  My coworkers are throwing me a simple shower that is potluck style.  The last one we did, the mom and dad to-be brought the mimosa supplies.  Since I'm the resident baker around here I was assigned cake Smile

Saturday: Finish up my cake in the a.m.  Hopefully wash some of the baby's sheets and clothes.  I'd also like to get the car seat bases installed.  Mid-afternoon we'll have our shower.

Sunday: I'd really like to focus on the nursery again.  K needs to secure the furniture to the walls and I have some stuff to hang on the walls.  Maybe we'll put together our swing and just get stuff organized a bit more.

And of course we'll have our usual run to Sam's Club and other such errands.

  • Two-True, do you have a favorite cake recipe? I'm always looking for new recipes.

Tomorrow we're during wedding #2 stuff and meeting w/ the officiant who offered to do the ceremony for free and on the only day this month I could get off work, hurrah!  E wants to go to Philly to an art show, so we may do that later in the afternoon.

Sunday, I have to go to a conference for work. Bah.
