Still no progress at all and BS is measuring 9lbs on the u/s. DrC gave me a couple options but we decided to wait until next week before making a definite decision. With a baby that size, she doesn't want me to go to 42 weeks and with no progress at all, she doesn't believe an induction will be successful. Ultimately, it's completely our decision. But I was told to be prepared to pick a birthday next week.
SO in hopes of getting just 1cm dilated by next Thursday I will be consuming spicy foods, walking my ass off and forcing MrShoe to have sex with me daily from now till then.
And if anyone knows of a trampoline or 4-wheeler that I can borrow, I'd appreciate their number. ![]()

MT & Cissy, I actually do get a do over. She's doing another u/s next week to see what, if anything, has changed. I really, really hope it's off even though she told me that usually when it measures a baby that big, the baby is pretty close to that big.
Dang girl! I hope BabyShoe gets the hint soon!

ugh baby shoe is already being hardheaded, isn't he/she? You must have made it too comfy in there!
I know nobody wants one, but I've said it before and I'll say it again. Do NOT stress about it if you have to have a c/s. As long as you don't use it as an excuse to be lazy and you get up and move around as soon as you can, you will have no problems. Four days after mine I wasn't even taking ibuprofren or anything. But I know you had your plan so I'm hoping it works so you can do it your way!
Thanks.
It's not so much that I had a "plan" I just feel like we're jumping into a c/s and I don't understand why since I've had zero complications. There was more to the appointment than I typed out but I'll go with a load of questions to my appointment next week. And I'll attempt to update my blog with the more detailed version later today.
the vast majority of inductions that are successful are when there are already some cervical changes going on.
don't sweat a c-section.... i elected to have one (was given the option to go vag but didn't want to risk having both) and my recovery was a freakin' breeze.... if we were to ever have another baby, i would do it the same way again.
yeah, they did the induction stuff on me for TWO days, using the cervadil or whatever it's called. Never went beyond less than 1 cm.
I agree that those estimates are not usually accurate. Most people I know who have gotten one have been at least a pound off, usually more. Try not to worry about it too much.
I also know two people in the last two years that were told they were having girls, then gave birth to little boys. So, WTH do the ultrasound people know anyway?
LOL! That's one thing I don't have to worry about!
This is basically what she was saying; she'd feel a lot more optimistic if there was some progress but she didn't want me to go through the pain of an induction and then have to get a section anyway.
Baby Shoe come out now!!
Did that work?
I'm sorry sweetie, hopefully he will decided he's ready soon before you have to have the c/s.
Dilating thoughts headed your way along with prayers.
