Let's discuss The Office

1. Cecelia is a beautiful name!

2. I knew when that baby latched easily that she totally had the wrong baby. What a nightmare. lol.

3. The contract between Dwight and Angela was hilarious!

4. Kevin was so freaking funny about Erin. I am still LOL over that.

5. Finally, Michael, who is an HR manager's worst nightmare: "Ohhh. The baby is going to have a lot of hair..."

*dies*

Re: Let's discuss The Office

  • 1. I agree! I love it.

    2. Dude, I knew when he picked up the baby from the bassinet. I seriously said 'OMG please don't let her feed the wrong baby!!!'

    ---

    6. Dwight demolishing their kitchen and sleeping naked in their bed had me screaming and saying OHMYGOD NOOOOO!!!! all while laughing hysterically of course hahaha.

    7. I got all mushy at the end when she finally got her to latch. Embarrassed

"I need to ask Jim where he got his sheets!"  Oh, Dwight.  I was screaming too when he got out naked from the waist down.  Yikes!

I am really glad the show is back on.  I thought they could have cut the episode to 30 minutes though.  After 25 I couldn't believe we were only half way through.

Do hospitals really do shared rooms for new parents?  That seems like a nightmare.  I don't know why Pam would want to delay her admission time til midnight just to spend another night sharing a room with a stranger and her baby.  I'd rather be at home.

My friend just had her baby and yes, she had to share a room. She couldn't afford the private room and her insurance company wouldn't pay for it.

  • Baker - it depends on the hospital. Some only have private, but many still have shared rooms.

And I agree, I want to go home as soon as we're medically ready. I'll just want to start settling in at home, rather than get into a rhythm at the hospital only for it all to change two days later.

  • Yeah, I don't expect hospitals to function as hotels, but that just sounds awful.  It's one thing to share a room with another adult, but newborns are not exactly known for being quiet and sticking to a schedule.  I would feel bad if my baby was crying during the night, and annoyed (but obviously understanding) if my roommate's was.

Do you think Pam will disappear for a few weeks like when she was in art school, or will they show her and Jim at home a lot?  I kind of prefer when the episodes take place mostly in the office itself, but I'm sure they will want to incorporate Pam still during her maternity leave.

  • I am so in love with Jim after how cute and nervous he was!

I love and Andy and Erin are now dating.  That story line took forever to evolve.

Did you guys hear the Cecelia is actually named after Pam's real life neice who was born on the same day that they were filming the birth?  That is so cute and nice.

    I love The Office!!

  • all the Dwight in Jim and Pam's house bits made me cringe! oh I would die if I were bringing home a new baby and someone had completely bashed in my kitchen! I'm glad he replaced the cabinets, though.

And all the scenes with Kevin reminded me of that episode where Holly first comes, and they tell her Kevin's mentally disabled. Wrong, but so funny.

  • So I finally watched it tonight and Jim was hilarious the whole show! My H and i were cracking up. Since we're TTC, we turn everything baby into the question of "Do you think you'd act like that?"

     Such a great show!
