we bought a TV last weekend for our living room, the one we had was really too small, well this one is really too big. I think it looks weird and asthetically it is not at all pleasing to me. John said we could take it back and get a smaller one (in between the old and this one). My only hesitation is how excited he seemed about having a larger screen when we first brought it home. He said "that's because I'm a boy first and a designer second". I REALLY don't like it but I don't want him to have to give up something if he really likes it. Thoughts?

Re: Need some advice
I can't get that till tonight, but the space is 48.5 inches and it's a 40 inch screen so with the casing it takes up the entire mantel over the fireplace.
yeah I'm on the get the smaller one side. I'm just not a fan of huge TV's, they don't ever look nice in a room. Unless you can "hide" them somehow. When we finally jump on the bandwagon and get a new TV, it's just going to be a 32 inch.
My answer would be obvious if you ever visited my house. I relented and we have a 62" in the living room with a 50" in the bedroom. Let him keep it. I got used to it, and I now I couldn't see us with a smaller television in either room.
