Anyone good at gift ideas?

My mom's turning 50 in a couple of weeks. I'd like to get her something a bit special but I don't have any good gift ideas. Months ago I thought of getting her a digital picture frame, but she got one for Christmas.

Can you ladies throw some ideas out there? I'd like to keep it around $100 (or less).

    For my mom's 50th my brothers and I went together and hired a photographer to do new family pictures and then I had three of them framed for her living room and did a soft cover photobook from Costco. (That was Christmas and her birthday together maybe, I think,,,. or I did the frames for Christmas)

    I think that's a wonderful idea, and I'm sure your mom loved it! I wish I could do something like that, but it would be hard in my situation, since I'm an only child and my parents are not together.

    Ah yes, that wouldn't work as well for you. Does she like the spa? A spa day with you would be fun. Or a gift certificate to a store she likes but wouldn't necessarily treat herself to.

    I think a girls day out would be nice.  main pedi, masage lunch out, even movies if your mom likes going to the movies.

    Oh, spa is a good idea!  Or I like date ideas, like a wine tour followed by lunch, a theater show and dinner, museum/gallery and lunch.  Those would be fun things to do with mom!  Oh, or afternoon tea!
