Newsflash - I don't care WHO is to blame
I am getting tired of hearing it already. This wouldn't have happened if in the 70s.......WHO CARES. Obama and the Community Reinvestment Act...WHO CARES.
It's happening and something has to be done. Work on the whos and the whys later so we can prevent it in the future. For now, get a solution. UGH.
Carry on now. And yes, I do feel better.
Re: Newsflash - I don't care WHO is to blame
but I need someone to take out my ear congestion woes on!
I disagree. The problems that led to this crisis spanned decades so there is more than one administration and a handful of people to blame, but it's important to hold these people and their policies accountable. Some of them who caused this crisis are still in congress/gov't. Those people cannot be allowed to "fix" this mess when they caused it. We need to start promoting responsibility in gov't. Ignoring who did what will only encourage more cover up and more irresponsibility in the future. If we aren't cognizant of which policies led to this disaster then how will we ever know what needs to be changed?
I will liken this to the war. Acting like there weren't mistakes made isn't helpful. No one on the left wants us to "not care" who is to blame. Too much is at stake and we all know learning from mistakes is vital and necessary for our future.
This is a crisis too and for the same reason it's important that we all know what happened, who is to blame and how we fix it.
