Speaking of bad skin . . . question . . .

Ok ladies with bad skin, specifically acne . . .

Does anyone have experience with the laser skin resurfacing stuff that is being advertised a lot lately?  I have some pretty large pores on my face, and some seriously embarassing scars.  (Some are acne scars, but I also have some really big chicken pox scars as well.)

R and I were talking about it and I think I am going to schedule a consultation.  I'm wondering if they really can eliminate some or most of my scars, make my skin tone a bit more even, and reduce the appearance of the pores in my T-zone.

Thoughts?

Re: Speaking of bad skin . . . question . . .

  • One of my MOH's did this and I don't think she was thrilled with the result or the high cost.  I will ask her for more details.
  • Have you tried an acid peel yet? My friend had realllllly bad scaring, she has been going in for treatments (i dont know how long) and her skin is looking really good.
  • I had regular acid peels before my wedding, and they worked pretty well, but for some reason the pregnancy is causing them to come back.  I can only guess its the hormones that make you skin darker causing the acne scars to get darker too?  Not sure of the reason, but a peel is on my list of things to do when I am done with this little project.
