VENT.Our house was supposed to be appraised today, but

The bank that owns it thought it was a good idea to turn off all of the utilities today. I am beyond livid.

We reported a leaky sink in one of the bathrooms when we got it inspected. We did not even ask for it to be repaired, because we are going to gut the bathroom anyway. (keep in mind this is a bathroom with no knobs in the shower or sink, and DH just closed the valve to the sink to stop the leak).

So, the appraiser calls the bank that owns the property to get the key to do his job. They give it to him, and he gets there and has to leave. The bank proceeds to tell our realator that it is basically our fault for even reporting it. (wich really we personally did not) and they had to shut off all utilites because they would be responsible if there was a flood.

Grrrrr. We close in 2 weeks. In our agrrement of sale there is a clause that we must pay a penalty of $100 a day if we cant close on time. Well, we cant close with out an appraisal IDIOTS! And we also need the appraisal report because there were some issues the bank is going to be responsible to have fixed before closing.
