I am in the office today (against my better judgement but I'm trying to be professional) and they asked me to stay through April. I thought they would, but it's nice to have confirmation that I'll have pay in April.
It's weird to be here today though. Everyone in the office knows and has either approached me and told me how dumb this idea is or they're totally avoiding me. Ah well....I will come in, do my job, Nest a little, and probably leave early to beat traffic. Have I mentioned I'm grateful for another check though?

Thanks ladies! I actually got a chance to really talk to the Executive Director of the Firm and it was good. None of this is his decision, so we can be very candid with one another. He doesn't think that April will be it either, but we'll see. We are going to go to lunch on Monday with the person who they want to take over my job and really brainstorm this and how I can be retained in a different way going forward after April. Honestly, I wouldn't mind just doing the 'big' stuff from home and getting paid less. That would allow to focus on growing my hair business more, which is what I really want to do.
I so surprised that in a week I've really come to terms with this decision. I actually see more than just a silver lining! It is what it is, and I have to look at it as the opportunity I've wanted. Be careful what you wish for....no truer words were ever spoken!
