Im so angry I want to scream. Last October, I got a new phone, a black berry. Loved it although it did not work in my house what so ever. I talked with Tmobile and they said to send it back. We ended up changing our plan and then picked new phones. They told me that once they got the phone back they'd credit my account.
So I sent back the blackberry on November 12th via the Post Office to LaGrange, GA. On November 14th it reached Atlanta, GA and was processed through their sort facility and went out for delivery. Great!
No, not so much. It has been "Out for Delivery" for almost 4 months now. I have gotten the run around from everyone and their mother. I was sent to the investigations department and my file sat there for 2 months only to find out that it shouldn't have been there.
Today I called back and they said, okay your file was reviewed you can call the post office that you shipped it from and they will give you your info. I called and she told me that they would reimburse me for the shipping charge BUT only if I had my receipt. Not my phone. And she told me "Too bad, you should have gotten insurance." I'm sorry, but this was almost a $400 phone, that isn't good enough for me. I paid the extra money to have it get there in 2 days and they are telling me too bad? It's plain to see that someone within the post office stole it, once it left the sort facility. Even 2 of their employees said the same thing.
Does anyone know how I can actually get them to reimburse me for that? This isn't my fault, and yes, maybe I should have paid the $3 for shipping, had I anticipated them stealing it, I would have, obviously.
But clearly they should take responsibility for this dont you think?
Re: Long but WDYT re: the Post office.
I can totally understand why you are upset and it sucks but I am guessing you are SOL. I know every time I have to wait in line at the post office I hear them ask every person who is shipping a package if they want insurance. They always ask me and I always say no (I never send anything that valuable). Obivously they are hoping it will get there and 99% of the time it does. You end up paying for the 1% chance it won't. I would guess the employee who stole it was able to see that you did not insure it so the USPS would probably not check into it like they would if it were insured.
Maybe if you become enough of a PITA to them they will just take care of it. I hope it works out.
