Omg what a weekend

Friday my aunt and uncle went in for their 3D/4D ultrasound. When they went in they found my Aunt only had 1 cm of amniotic fluid. They had to hospitalize her and were considering C-section. They called me to help them with errands because my aunt isn't due for another month, so they still needed several things to prepare for the baby.

Saturday, she's still in the hospital and we're all taking shifts being with her. The amniotic fluid didn't improve, so they decided to try and induce labor on Sunday.  However, Saturday night, I left for karaoke night, then got called back at 8 because she had to go into emergency C-section because the baby was in distress. His umbilical cord was knotted and he was breech.  My uncle was an hour away so I had to be there in case he couldn't make it in time.

He made it in 30 minutes! She had the baby at 8:34pm Saturday, but we sat at the hospital until 11pm waiting for news... he had respiratory problems and was unable to hold down food without spitting it all back up.

Today I went back to the hospital to get a list of things that needed to be purchased, and he continued to have problems- so the transportation team from a children's hospital came and they bundled him up to take him and monitor him.  3 people came on the ambulance to care for one baby- it was amazing!

So my uncle and I went to dinner, and as soon as we sat down to eat, my H called me panicking. He sliced his finger almost to the bone with a razor blade- so I had to take him to the ER, and we sat there for 3 hours while he bled, then finally got looked at! He had to have a couple of stitches.  FINALLY I am home after 3 wonderful days of hospital adventures... I think I'm taking tomorrow off so I can have a weekend from my weekend.

  • Baby is ok- they had to transport him to a NICU at a children's hospital yesterday because he is having trouble eating and keeping it down. He is trying to suckle, but can't really do it much- it wears him out :(  I felt so bad for my aunt- seeing him get all packaged up for transport then she couldn't even hold him... she has only gotten to see him for 30 minutes so far :(  When he was leaving you could just see her heart breaking it was so sad- but she's stuck at that hospital because of the C-section--- so she can't leave until tomorrow... so thats 2 days without seeing her baby- I think that would be torture for me!

Yes- YAY for great news! :)

But weird that I didn't hit the wine- maybe I'm sick, lol!  I have a wonderful bottle of Cupcake Merlot sitting there STARING at me, waiting for me to uncork it... but my brain can't process that much right now- so I keep forgetting! LOL!  Maybe tonight after my hot stone massage :)
