So I am gonna cut my hair very soon...but I don't know what to do with it!
I want something much shorter than what it is now, but I don't know how short or what kinda look...PLEASE HELP!
I want something shorter than what it is now, easy to take care of, I want to be able to still through it in a ponytail, and something easy to do...I don't like spending a TON of time doing my hair!
Thanks...Pictures/suggestions are GREATLY appreciated!
Re: I wanna cut my hair...
I wish I had not gone so short... as I have been growing it back for a year...
LOVE the siggy pic! You're due so soon!!! YAH!!
If you haven't had your hair short before, I'd start by only cutting a few inches off. I can't tell how long your hair is right now from your pic, but maybe something below your shoulders by a few inches would work? I just had my hair cut a little shorter last week (it's growing super fast right now), and it's about 2 inches past my shoulders. I have layers throughout and side-swept bangs. My hair is fine though...looks like you have thicker hair? Would you want layers? Not sure what you've had in the past that you liked/didn't like. My hair looks closest to this color and cut wise:
I say do it but then again I change my haircut atleast 5 times a year. I'll go short and then let it grow out then cut it again. I've never been attached to my hair. To me it's just hair and grows back. That being said if you are attach maybe take PP advice and only cut a little at a time. But if you're going dive in and do it maybe get something like this. Still long enough to pull back but short enough to style easily.
Do it Do it Do it!!!!!
I did cut mine all off, but did what some PP's said, I first cut it to just barely touching my shoulders, rocked that for a few months then got brave and went for it!
Carly, if you were siting in my chair I would ask you these questions,
Do you have to straighten your hair? If so are you looking for something that you have to blow out or something that can be worn curly?
I would suggest something like the Reese Witherspoon pic above, or,
It is a long layered collar bone length cut. Maybe a long side bang to give it some uuumph. The bang should be long enough that you can tuck it behind your ear. You NEVER want to lose the option of a pony tail. After the little one arrives you will need to be able to get it up!Good luck and KUP!
I think you'd look super cute with a cut like this:
I'm sorry, Twink, but I have to say this: do NOT cut it so short! I cut mine when I was 20 wks, and thank goodness it grew back fast. I cannot imagine having this sort of lenght right now.
Keep it long enough to get a ponytail, it's hell to have hair in your face or that won't stay behind your ear as you feed LO (cause you're looking down). And you'll spend lots of time doing just that!
Hey don't apologize to me, you know I have no knowledge of things mamas need to stay sane!
Although she would look really cute with that cut ... maybe shoulder length?
