ZOMG what a day.
So I went to my doctor this morning @ 6(snore)45. So I am sitting in the exam room and I was really nervous to see what my ankle looked like. F*CK - yall I had like 10 staples on the inside ankle and about 40 on the outer ankle. I am FREAKING out and breathing like I am about to give birth to a 40 lbs baby. I didnt know I had staples so I was really scared of them coming out. Luckily it didnt hurt like I thought it would and the nurse got them all out. But talk about ugly? Lord help me I look like Frankenstein's bride. Then they took ex-rays and I AM his bride. One plate with 9 screws on the outer ankle and 2 screws on the inner ankle - that can come out eventually if I choose to do so. Another cast today for 3 weeks, after that another cast for 2 weeks and THEN a walking boot.
You know what really saddens me? I have a closet FULL of sexy summer heals and flip flops - but what do I have to wear all summer? Tennis shoes. I mean I am THE Shoewhore - you just do not know. So with a tear I must go now and kiss all my pretty shoes good bye until next year - I hope.

Oh my you did have a big day!
When they took the stitches out of my chin last spring I almost passed out just anticipating the possible pain. They had to put me in a reclining chair and give me a cold compress. & you have way more than I did. It sounds like you handled yourself well.
I'm sorry you can't enjoy any of your cute shoes. That would make me sad too. Maybe you can just bring them to work and wear them sitting down to make you feel better.
