So I posted below that it sucks that DH is away but there is a good side to it too. When he's away I act sort of single. I meet my girlfriends out for drinks during the week and go shopping after work and pick up food instead of cooking. Or I just eat cereal or popcorn and wine. And sometimes I redecorate spaces. Last time he was out of town for a weekend I had the dining room and foyer painted.
So what do you do when your DH is away?
Re: When DH is away....
How do you get you DH to go away??? Hahahahaha.
But really, Jordan has not gone out of town by himself since we've been married. I'm like dude, why don't your friends want to go camping or something. I on the other hand jump on all chances to skip town.
I could see myself being productive around the house, meeting the girls for drinks, shopping... if the oppontunity were to ever arise!!
If its a weekend I go have a sleepover at a friend's house or I have my girlfriends come over for one. It's good quality girlie time.
hahaha Darah...you kick them out! Just kidding.
To me it's all the same if he's here or not here: I go to the gym, read my books, clean less or more (depending on what my mood is), don't make a mess in a kitchen or I do (because cooking for 1 is easier). I get to eat and make what I want instead of thinking what we both want...and I spend time with my girlfriends more, too.
I sleep in the middle of the bed regardless, it's just harder to fall asleep at times.
Absence makes the heart fonder. You just appreciate all the times you have spent together more, too.
I clean, shop, organize, sew, make messes for days, watch my kind of tv, don't shave my legs, don't wear make up or just wear my pjs all day. I love those days!
I forgot to mention the shopping....lol
See here.
