Good places to buy "Pottery Barn" type furniture?

Hey there NYC Nesties!  I was just wondering whether anyone here knew of reputable places to buy furnitures either in or w/in 1 hr drive from NYC.  We love distressed/rustic/cozy furniture, and love the stuff we find at Pottery Barn, but heard that the quality is not so good there and the prices don't even reflect that... anyone know of good alternatives for well made furniture that doesn't cost a fortune?  Any suggestions much appreciated :)

  • Also, check out Craigslist.  You can search for brands.  There are a lot of surprising finds from name stores if you are diligent and patient.
