My Midwife Just Quit!!
I am so upset! My doula happened to call me right as I was reading the email from another girl in my birth centering group and I immediatley just started bawling (hello hormones). I found this midwife even before I got pregnant and knew that I wanted to deliver with her. I originally saw my regular OB and ended up switching because I loved this woman so much. So now I am delivering at a hospital a half an hour away (since there are very few hospitals here that allow for a midwife delivery and there are NO birth centers) and I have no idea who I will be delivering with. There is one other midwife in the practice who is approved to deliver at the hospital, but what are the chances she'll be available when I go into labor? I am so sad

I'm very sorry she quit! Hope you find someone you like-like the other woman... and it works out for you! Good thing you have a few months vs. someone here that has what... 13 days?

Oh, I would definitely cry. It seems so personal, I'd be so upset. I hope you find someone new that you're comfortable with . . .

whoa! Total flashback to me finding out I wouldn't get my doctor for my delivery and I lost it in my car in the parking lot.
That is devastating. I am so sorry! !!
