Re: Figure Competition Blog - Eating Clean, The Foundation of my Diet

  • I have been reading a lot about this lately and very curious.  I have always wanted to try it, but thought maybe it was too overwhelming.  Great post D!

  • Looking forward to keeping up with your blog.  You make me want to start eating more clean and weights training!  I've started back with cardio... i am one of those that tries to tone up for summer, but has a fat winter season :)  My husband is into really into body building, but it is great to hear a woman's perspective.  Best wishes for your training and competion!!
  • This is really cool D! I looked into the Eat-Clean books last summer but realized I wasn't dedicated enough to that kind of eating to make it work for me.
  • As always - you are a rock star!!!  I love eating clean and love Tosca Reno.  I try very hard not to eat much processed food....much to MH and step-kids' dismay.  There is hardly anything in the pantry aside from canned veggies which makes them quite unhappy!  Big Smile

I'm not in a position to be doing anything for weight loss right now while training for my marathon and a half, but I'm totally back on the bandwagon when it's over!!

  • Very interesting article. I might take it on after we come back from our trip in a couple of weeks. Doing this on vacation would just set me up for failure :)

I will let you know if I do it D! Thanks for the inspiration!!

Kaesha Hungry Girl might be more your style then, I truly love her stuff too!

  • BIG fan of clean eating, mostly because I "have" to, I have about a million food sensitivites and the only way to keep clear of phlegm and crazy stomach issues is to eat pretty low on the food chain.  No frankenfoods, with the exception of Thinmints of course, 'tis the season! :)

  • I love Tosca Reno and Clean Eating Magazine...we've made a bunch of their recipes standard fare in our household.  I just got the book for Kids to get some ideas for when Libby is older...for example, they do PB&J with all natural PB, toasted whole grain and sliced strawberries instead of jam (which is quite processed and has added sweetners, colorings, etc.)...seems so simple, but it never occured to me to do it that way before seeing it (although we've done PB and Banana for years)!
