If you're thinking of using Mirena..
Just got back from my Dr and discussing longer terms of BC. Mirena seemed like the option I wanted to go through and then when I asked about costs at the front desk, they explained that they just doubled the cost on March 1st!
I guess they used to ship directly to the Dr and then they do the procedure. Now they ship it to you and it's only covered by 5% of insurance companies across the country. It's only like $1000 but still more than I thought. The Dr said it'll probably be better in 2011, um that's like 10 months, lol. Wish I would have taken care of this 5 months ago =( But anyways, it seems like a great product

Re: If you're thinking of using Mirena..
I paid $183 for mine two (almost three) years ago and my coworker only had to pay her $20 copay for it a few months ago. That stinks! But still if it is 1000, that works out to less then $20 a month which is what I was paying for BCP.
