Back from Vegas

And it was a blast! DH and I both made a little money (I learned how to play craps and has some beginners luck as the shooter), I saw tons of hotels and shops. Sadly no clubs this time around, but it was still awesome. We're probably going to be going back within the next year or so. I loved it! The weather was a little kooky, but I guess cold and rain is slightly better than tons of heat!

ETA: Apparently Rufus had a good vacation, too! They kept him kenneled pretty much the whole weekend with a GS puppy and they had a great time together. The two pups even managed to find just about the only bit of water in their run after a rainstorm and made a huge mess of themselves.  We picked him up last night at 6:30 and he could barely keep his eyes open once we got him home! lol

We have so much time, and so little to do! Strike that, reverse it.

Re: Back from Vegas

  • Nice work on winning some moola! I've never played craps  but not sure if I would understand it. I stick more to the black jack tables when I gamble which is not very often as M is not into it.   I haven't made it to Vegas yet, but want to go.
  • I thought "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas"?

Yay for winning! That's so cool, and i'm happy Rufus was a good boy while you were gone. :)

  • Sounds awesome!

DH and I just made plans to head to Vegas in August. We're looking for new/different places to try. Any recommendations?

  • Well, we didn't go to the 5 below bar but 2 of our friends did and it looked really cool. Kinda wish we'd have gone, but it's like $25 to get in because they give you boots and a parka.  Our friends said you only want to stay about 20 minutes before the ice chills to your bones, but they loved it. And the pics were pretty cool.

  • How fun! Glad you won! I cannot believe you didn't go to a club-- I can't even fathom Vegas without dancing :)
  • We tried our first night, some new club at Aria, but as we approached the doorman, I looked down and noticed one of our friends (male) was wearing sandals. He got turned away, so the rest of us went with him (oddly enough, except his wife, who decided to go in without him with her friend who was getting us in). Ha! Most of our gambling luck seemed to happen at night, so we stuck to the craps tables in the partying hours.

  • Congrats on winning some money. I've been there once and loved it.I only played slots though and won some $. I've always wanted to play at a table, just scared too.
