the most wonderful day

I had the best day today!! I was able to visit a local farm rescue where they rescue farm animals from slaughter houses, starvation cases, or even off the city streets! DH and I drove 2 hrs to the farm and were able to feed all the animals and hear their wonderful stories. It was such a great day!!!

I posted some pics in my blog, as well as a few videos of the baby piglets! I fed them carrots and they were the cutest things I've ever seen!!! :)

Re: the most wonderful day

  • awe baby piglets, how cute! that definitely sounds like a wonderful day.
  • omg, they are all so cute. Especially the baby piglets! What a great day :)
  • Have you talked to your DH about pygmy goats yet? :) If it helps, tell him we're on your side.
  • lol yeah he just goes along with whatever, I think he is down for it! We saw some pygmy goats at the farm the other day and they were so funny!!!

However, we do know now that theres no way we are getting pigs. Did u know u have to clip their nails??? AND they get super mad! You also have to give them medicine injections and I just cant do that...

I am glad I went to the farm, I learned a lot about farm animals. The lady told me that before I start getting farm animals, I can foster them just to feel it out. That way, I am helping the animal and if it doesn't work out I can just give it back. She said there's a rescue org. up in TN that lets u do that.
