Eh I'm doing okay. It's rainy here, so it's a tad depressing outside. Rain always makes me feel like taking a nap.
How are things going at home? How's the baby? Are you still sore from birth? What's your favorite moment been so far? Any pictures?

Not a lot going on here. Finally finished moving into a new apt.and now I get to move desks at work tomorrow. But I also get to leave early for my 24 wk appt.

I know, rain tends to make me feel the same way. Although, I do enjoy it. Oddly lol. It gives me a reason to be lazy. :-P
Things are going well. We're still adjusting. I'm thinking it might be a while before we get our routine back in order. Last night I actually made dinner at a decent hour lol. Jake is doing good... he's developed a knack for spitting up on me over the past couple of days though lol. Sorry if this is TMI lol... but it seems that when I have my "let down", I drown him, and he drinks too fast! Poor guy. Every thing I read says that it should correct itself soon. He has an appointment on Friday to be circ'd. I don't want to go by myself and DH has to work, so I'm making my mom come with.
As far as the soreness goes... it was never really all that bad. But yeah, my groin is still a bit sore. I had no "soft tissue" pain... it's all ligaments and muscles that hurt.
My favorite moment... hmmm... they've all been awesome. It's amazing... I can look at him and just burst into tears because he's so beautiful... and I know that when he looks at me he knows that I'm his mommy.

Nice!! Do you know if you're having a boy or a girl? Moving is such a pain... we bought our house and moved in when I was 12 weeks pregnant. I did NOT feel very well. lol

Chrissy-- Definitely post more pics of your puppy... I looove labs. They're my favorite! I grew up with them.
SBS-- The first week has been tough, but amazing. The first night was the hardest because he wouldn't sleep unless he was nuzzled right up against me or DH. But the nurses told me the first night that might happen. Now he sleeps in his little napper... and SO well. I have to wake him up to eat, and sometimes I wake up in a cold sweat thinking something happened to him!

Sounds like things are settling nicely. I would totally have my mom come with me. I always thought they just did that right away.
I am amazed when I look at our nieces and nephews. It really is an amazing thing to think that you can create a baby.
They do normally do it before you leave the hospital, but Jake was having latching issues, and so he wasn't feeding all that well. Being circ'd is a little bit of a shock to them and can disrupt them learning to eat and all that even more, so they wanted us to wait.

I know you said this is TMI and I'm sure I'm being stupid but can you tell me what this actually means... There are a lot of prego/baby things I dont know.

Hehe... let down refers to the "milk ejection reflex" for breastfeeding. When they first latch, milk does come out, but after a few minutes the reflex kicks in and milk comes at a much more rapid rate. It helps ensure that you "empty" more completely.

Amelia must be the chosen J9 girl name LOL. DH and I had picked that out about a month ago as our girl name. Still undecided on middle name... I like Claire, he likes Jane. Our boy name is Nicholas Jason (Jason is my brother's name.)
Gotcha... I'm going to have to take a class on all this stuff when its that time...
