I was reading your responses in the morning poll.  What is this palindrome clock you are talking about and setting your times to make a wish?

Re: *** Elissaann ***

  • Palindromes are numbers, words or phrases that can be read forward for backward (racecar or 6:36).  I was told when I was a kid that if you wish when the time is a palindrome that your wish would come true.  And so I still set my alarm so that after I hit snooze once (since that first time I won't be awake enough to wish), I wake up at a palindrome.  For example, I have a 5 min snooze so I set my alarm for 6:11 so the snooze will go off at 6:16 and then I'll wish.  I just think it is a nice way to start out the day.  In case you become obsessed as well, 11:11 is the best palindrome of the day (because it has 4 of the same digits) and therefore somehow always seemed to have more power to make your wishes come true.  I guess this is just one of those silly childhood traditions that I still hold onto!

  • That is neat, I had no idea!  Thanks for the insight!
