Re: Morning (Thursday)

  • Just the usual last night. Didn't feel like cooking so we got
Miguel's :) I vowed to have a computer free (i.e. FB free) night and
we just hung out and played with L until he wore us out. After he
fell asleep we watched 16 and Pregnant. Anyone else watching? The guys
this season are the biggest douchebags!

  • I'm sooooo sleepy! I came in to work late (they owed me time anyway) because I just needed an extra hour of sleep...but it didn't help, lol!

Last night I worked until 8, got home and went to feed my dogs.  I went out to give them treats and Dozer wouldn't even touch the treat.  Then I noticed he just looked tired, his breathing was really slow, and he was very clingy.  It scared me a lot- I thought maybe he had gotten into some poison or something.  So the vet said to just make sure he had water and monitor his behavior for a couple of hours.  I stayed up with him until 2am... after drinking water he perked up a little, then he threw up, a lot :( After that he went to sleep- I kept waking up throughout the night then I would pet him and feel for breathing, or I would hold my hand by his nose, lol!  He was totally fine this morning- so I'm thinking he must have eaten something in the back yard (maybe a plant or something?! We don't keep any fertilizer or chemicals in the yard- they're on a shelf in the garage which the dogs aren't allowed into)... but he seems ok now.  Scared the heck out of me though!!!

  • Left work early because I had an event later in the evening I had to go to. So I had some time in the afternoon to watch tv before leaving again. Got back home at 8, watched idol, the daily show and some HGTV. Leaving for Vegas tonight so I probably should of got stuff ready for that, but I didn't....
  • Happy Thursday!

We've had quite the morning!  Mom didn't get out on her flight
yesterday so she was booked on a 6am flight today out of Ontario.  We
all went to bed early so we could leave at 4am to take her.  C took her while I stayed home with sleeping Sarah.  He got back home at 5am and went back to sleep (lucky him!).  When Sarah woke up she decided she didnt' want to use the potty OR her diaper so she peed all over the bathroom floor then ran down the hall to our bedroom and peed on the carpet in there.  She didnt' go at all during the night so there was a lot!  After we got everything cleaned up she decided to keep her cranky mood and gave us grief until C took her to daycare.  Just before we left (I had a doctor's appt) we get a call
that my mom can't get out of Ontario today but can get out of Palm
Springs (she flies standby with a Delta buddy pass).  So C took Sarah to school and is picking mom up in Ontario and taking her to PS airport.  Luckily my dr appt didn't last long and I'm back at home to work.  I have a feeling we're all going to bed early tonight!

Hopefully school will snap Sarah out of her pissy mood!  C said she screamed all the way to school (in the car) but once she got there she was just fine.

Can't wait for the weekend!  We don't have much planned (for once!)...it will be nice to just veg and relax!

    Have a great day!

  • Morning!! Yesterday we went looking at a preschool for Isabel. We really liked it. And she loved it. Plus it's only a couple blocks from our house so Dh can walk her to and from. She starts in 2.5 weeks. Eeks. After that we went to lunch together, than DH went to work and we went to Target and Toysrus. Than home for our usual routines. Today-nothing plan at all. Since we got our bonus today I might go get the new camera we've been wanting.
  • Kat- YAY for bonus! And YAY for preschool... Isabel is gonna love it! She's going to be the belle of the school :)

Ann- YAY for Vegas! Where are you staying?

Lori- Wow what a night! Has Sarah ever done something like that before?!

Yay for preschool!  Which one are you putting her in?  How often is she going?  Since I might be losing my job in June, I'm looking at other preschools for Sarah...I'd love to get her into a co-op preschool but can't find any!

  • Dh left for Phoenix so I just hung around the apt and did nothing. I wish primtime tv started earlier. There is nothing on from when I get home at 5 till 8! I watched part of Americas Next Top Model and AI.

Nope, she's never done this before.  She's really good about going on her potty when she first wakes up but since she's started in her new classroom (this past Monday) she's been going on a "real" toilet there.  We're thinking she just doesn't want to use her little potty chair anymore.

  • Staying with my Aunt and Uncle, they live near red rock canyon. We are actually going to do a couple shows this time and go to the Hoover Dam to do the tour. Excited about not just sitting at their house and watching tv the whole time!
  • Lori -- to find coops http://www.ccppns.org/  I think our only one is in Murietta.  I'm looking into Diamond Bar and OC.  Most are true preschool, so not until age 3 with Dec. cutoff unlike daycares that offer academics.

I got several orders done last night.  One more t-shirt and some bows left to do and I can go tutu crazy next week.  I've avoided opening my new shipment of tulle.  Tonight is MNO/book club and I can't wait.

  • She is going to an indpendent one in Murrieta. We did look at the co op one and 1)it was a little out of the way and 2)we just didn't get a good vibe from it. We like everything about this place, about the only thing is that they don't work on a foreign language but DH should be teaching them spanish anyway. They have rotating classrooms. There are 7 classrooms (art, music, science, math, reading, playground & pretend) Each day she will spend 40min in 5 of the classrooms, plus have a snack and lunch break. In each class their will be a structured activity going on-but if the child doesn't want to particpate she doesn't have to and go any of the other activites in the room. Like for the Math room-there were legos and building toys plus there were 2 girls turning a bench into a fort. Which is exactly what we wanted for Isabel since we are primarily enrolling her to learn how to socialize and whatever else she learns is icing on the cake. When she enters the preK program later on there will be a little more structure but for now this is perfect. She has already picked out a lunchpail (barbie) and keeps asking if she can go to school when she wakes up (that's how she says "tomorrow").
