I don't see them as mutually exclusive. In fact, I find them quite complimentary.
I'll put on a show for DH. But, I don't really like to do it just for me unless I haven't gotten sex... I don't know, that's just me. I just don't feel the need.
This is what I would have chosen before DH and I were married. Now that we live together, I never get any alone time to do it! I chose once a week, but wish I could more often. I do agree with pp who says they are complimentary. When I do it myself, I want it even more with DH.
