I just got a call from my mom... she's heading down to Florida to see my brother because he's in the hospital again. I'm pretty sure I've posted about this before... but this is my oldest brother. He's 37 and has autism. He lives in Miami in a home with other people who have autism, down syndrome, etc.
He's had 3 seizures in the last 48 hours and they can't figure out what's wrong with him so they've got him undergoing a bunch of tests.
He's been deteriorating mentally for the last year or so (we've had no luck pinpointing a reason for this) and it's really starting to freak me out. The last time I went down there, he didn't even remember me... which was schocking because when I was little we were very close.
If you could keep him in your thoughts and prayers that would be really nice. I'm sort of freaking out about this... it is even worse because he doesn't vocalize things like the rest of us would, so if there is a specific area that is hurting him, we won't know. I'm not sure what to do or think at this point. It is very scary.
Re: My brother is in the hospital... again.
I'm sorry AT. I hope the doctors can figure out what's wrong and help him. I can only imagine how hard this must be for you.
::hugs::
Oh sweetie - I hope the doctors figure something out soon!!
Group hug!!

I hope they can figure something out. I can't imagine how difficult it this would be for someone who can't vocalize if or where they are in pain.

I'm so sorry AT. I hope the doctors can figure out what is wrong. You all will be in my thoughts.

Thanks, ladies.
I'm trying to not think of anything too awful until I hear from my mom tomorrow when she sees him.
I'll keep you updated... thanks again for your thoughts and prayers, it means a lot to me.
