Vacation rentals on Craigslist
Hello New York Nesties,
DH and I are coming to NYC in April. We were supposed to stay with friends, but that fell apart a couple of days ago.
Looking to save money, I trolled Craigslist and found a whole section on vacation rentals in Manhanttan as well as the other boroughs. Some of them seem reasonably priced. For example: one was a studio apartment on the Lower East Side for $90/night. Another was for renting out a room in the owner's loft (it was a married couple with a toddler) in Williamsburg, sharing the kitchen and bathroom, for $100/night.
How can I make sure these are legit?
Thanks for your help!
Re: Vacation rentals on Craigslist
i think you'd be better to go through vrbo.com
also, check out hotwire and priceline because you can get some great deals that way. kimpton hotels (there are 3-4 in various locations) usually have good rates and i've never had a bad experience with them elsewhere.
