Another trip to L/D

We spent yet another evening with the nurses at LD last night, my contractions were 2 minutes apart and gaining in pain, I thought they were my golden ticket to having this boy, not so much! 

They stopped the contractions and sent us home I begged the nurse to let us stay but b/c my CSec is plannned for Tuesday and my water didn't break they wouldn't let me stay Crying  Now I'm back to being on bed rest (I came off at 35 weeks) until Monday when I go for an amnio and then if they think his lungs are strong enough we go in on Tuesday.  These next few days are going to go by so slowly.

    I'm sorry you are going through all of this.  Don't take this the hard way, but let that little guy stay as long as he can.  It was horrible watching David being on those breathing machines and not being able to do anything to help him.

    I'm sorry.  It sounds like your little man is ready to come out.  At least it's just four more days!  That's no time!  It seems like you just told us you were pregnant again.

    I know I don't want him to come soon and the last thing I want is for him to be in the NICU for any length of time but he's so close to being full term.  The nurse did say that if I didn't have c-sec planned for Tuesday they may have let me stay a little longer to see if I progressed any.

    We do have a lot of things to get done this weekend so maybe it will fly by.

    Caro-I know its tough you are right at the end and you are so ready for him to come, but he still needs to cook a little more. Without the amnio to know for sure he could definately end up in the NICU at this point still. I never had to do NICU time, but I have heard all the stories of those that have. I know with me my Dr was going to be on vacation the week of my scheduled c/s which was a Tues (38wks exactly so full term) and the Friday before we were joking about finding a way to deliver me so that she could be there so I would have been 37w 4d and the pedi said absolutely not. If they were happy in there everyday makes a difference! It is almost over. You can do it!!

    Hang in there :) I know how slow it seems to go just before. I hope you can stay occupied this weekend and it will be his birth day before you know it. Im thinking of you and little jack.

    Sorry, but at least you know he'll be here soon...Tuesday will be here before you know it and hopefully your little baby boy will have his birthday.

    I'm really glad you are having the amnio.  My bff just had her baby last Friday and she was right at 37weeks or so they thought because he was measuring so big.  They took him early due to high amniotic fluid and he's had breathing problems since.  Still in NICU not sure when he will be able to come home.  They are thinking he was a week earlier than they originally thought.
