Fun Clicky Poll

so I've noticed very early on that miss A can curl her tongue into the shape of a taco.  I don't have the gene that allows you to do this w/your tongue, but I know MH does so she obviously got that gene from him.

just curious who all can do this and how predominant this gene/"skill" is :)

(as an aside - I can't curl my tongue but I can tie a cherry stem in a knot with my tongue, does that count for something? Stick out tongue)

Re: Fun Clicky Poll

  • Not me but how cute that A can do that.  And yes, I am super impressed that you can tie a cherry stem in a knot with your tongue... do those sorts of things just happen or do you have to practice? Stick out tongue

  • i too am impressed with the knot in the cherry stem skill! I wouldn't even know where to start.  I will say about the tounge thing...my dad could do it & I had to practice when I was little b/c I couldn't do it either.  - why I felt the need to master it, I am not sure, but it definitely didn't just come naturally!

  • I can do it if I push my tongue against the roof of my mouth as a guide (if that makes sense).  Does that count?

  • i can do the taco thing, i can even put it on its right side and bend it in the middle...but i can't do the cherry stem thing! well, i did tie it in a knot just once...but it wasn't a tight knot!! LOL
  • Can't do it either.  How cute that your little one can do it at such a young age!

  • I can do it.  I remember in college genetics class that we talked about this but I can't remember if is dominant or recessive.
