XP: GO SMiLE

DO any of you ladies know about this product? Is it worth the $$ or should I just get the Crest white strips?

Re: XP: GO SMiLE

  • never heard of GO SMiLE - but have you used crest white strips before? I couldn't finish using them b/c they made my gums hurt. Not a fan at all!!
  • I wouldn't waste my $$$...

Peter got some professional whitening BS done that cost him almost $1,000. and they looked exactly the same to me.

If you're going to do anything, try the crest white strips - they're cheap at least.

Exactly this.  DH also did some professional whitening...called Brite Smile...wasn't as expensive as Peter's but they looked the same & he said his teeth were a bit more sensitive afterwards.

I suggest asking your dentist if they offer anything?!

  • I've seen it @ Sephora, but couldn't bring myself to spend the $$$. From what I heard from someone working there it still made your teeth really sensitive, so for that I decided to stick to the whitestrips b/c like Cristina said at least they're cheap. If I had the $$ I would go to my dentist for the professional whitening.

    Anniversary
  • go for the crest whitestrips - but make sure you use sensitive toothpaste for a couple days prior and during the 2 weeks you use them.  It helps a TON!  I'm actually using the whitestrips right now, and while your teeth wont look like people on tv, they do help.
  • Thanks ladies.  Izzy which Crest strips are you using? There are sooo many.

  • I don't know if it's already been suggested, but I've had great luck with using the Crest ProHealth Whitening toothpaste and I also use a whitening mouthwash (I just finished off a bottle of Crest, but am about to start using a Listerine brand because it was on sale).  I've definitely noticed a difference and have gotten quite a few compliments (I had no idea so many people look at my mouth!).

I've used the strips too...but they did make my teeth and gums very sensitive and that drove me bonkers...I did notice a difference though.  But I just can't do that again.

  • I can't use the white strips because a couple of my teeth are too sensitive. Like... I put them on and 10 seconds later my teeth are screaming in pain.

You should talk to your dentist about this. My dentist does whitening in office (duh Stick out tongue) but for people with sensitive teeth he has some gel or something they use so it's not as harsh on your teeth, and it makes them not hurt afterward either. I haven't actually had it done yet, but they were explaining it to me when I said I didn't want professional whitening after how much the strips bothered me.

    Good luck!

  • we just used the crest strips before the wedding and we where very pleased!  i think we did two rounds.  i'm not sure though.

  • No experience, but if you want an inexpensive method, then use a 10% solution of hydrogen peroxide and water.  Hydrogen peroxide is the active ingredient in most of these whiteners and it is dirt cheap.  However, don't use too strong of a solution because hydrogen peroxide can be very tough on your gums.
  • Im using the Advanced Seal ones.  I had a coupon for a kit with the strips, toothpaste and rinse before christmas so I got it then and saved it.
  • I really like the Crest 5 minute ones...I can't stand the ones you have to leave on for 30 minutes. FI can't use them though because they hurt his teeth.
