Happy Friday

Only 34 more days until the end of busy season.  The corporate filing deadline is on Monday, can't wait for that one to be over with. Normally that's my bad deadline but I have a bad feeling my 4/15 list will be even worse.

So DH calls me today and asks what time we are going to my parents on Sunday for my sister's birthday dinner.  I say between 4-5.  Guess MIL has requested that we attend church with them at 4:30 (they have dedicated the mass to her father).  I;m sure this mass has been dedicated awhile ago.  We always find out about these things the day before or hours after the mass has ended and all the family member wonder why we didn't show up.

I would really love, just for once, to not have any committments, that would be great.  Maybe I'll just send Mark to the mass, and David and I will go to my parents house.  Besides, the entire mass is in Polish, not like I understand anything they are saying.

Re: Happy Friday

  • Ok, that's annoying that MIL didn't tell you sooner.  I was actually a little annoyed with my MIL for something (kind of) similiar.  MH's grandmother's bday is this weekend.  Usually everyone comes here for her bday on the day.  So we were planning for that even though it hadn't been mentioned.  MIL calls last night to see if we could drive grandma up to her house (3 hour drive) tomorrow for a party.

We said no.  We have plans tomorrow night.  But if she had told us a month ago, we could have done it.  Of course, my parents also "made plans" for us for tomorrow night without telling us and were mad when we said we couldn't do it.  Sigh.

Anyway, I'm ok today.  Still stressed but I've accepted the fact my project is going to be late.

  • Morning!

MH started plastering and taping the bathrooms up yest. which made me SO happy to finally start seeing progress!

  • Good morning - how irritating when people don't have the common courtesy to give you more notice! Super Angry

I'm alright today - kind of tired and a little sore after therapy yesterday (but man, oh man, it felt great at the time!)  But my CWs are celebrating my birthday, so it's a pretty good day - cupcakes & ordering in lunch! Yes  AND it's Friday... hello, how great is THAT?!

  • Good morning! Happy Birthday Eve Paula! Cake I bought myself a Powerball ticket for tomorrow's drawing so if I win I will be sending you a nice b-day gift Big Smile

I'm so happy it's Friday and hope the day goes by quickly!

Thanks for thinking of me, Kristin! LOL

Michelle, I didn't know you guys were redoing anything.

  • Mel that so funny I was just having the same conversation with MH about his sister last night. She invites us to things at the last minute and then gets mad when we have plans. I am a planner, I need to know things in advance.

I am ok this morning. MH is sick and kept me up all night with coughing and getting up and down. I wanted to kill him but it's not like I can yell at him for being sick. I also really really don't want to get sick but it's probably unavoidable.

I am so relieved though I talked to one of my good friends last night and she is going to take my baby two days a week when I go back to work. We will probably only need those two days of coverage and MH can do the rest. I am so relieved, I trust her and she is very flexible with our schedule!

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY EVE PAULA!!!!!!

Happy B-day Eve to you too!

Oh, and it's not the fact that we are redoing anything, it's the fact that it wasn't done in the first place. Right now Emily's 'Princess' bathroom is grey and our bathroom is puke pink. We haven't had time to do them so now we are finally diving into it.

Do you find that people are shocked by this?  Like, because of our age, we're not supposed to be planners and like to have things settled advance?  That's what I get.  For being a planner and being such a foodie/baker, I get this combined look: Huh?Indifferent

  • Happy birthday eve Paula!!!!

I played hookie today....I have nothing to do (at all, absolutely nothing...my boss told me to reorganize my desk and go home early today) and I've been battling a headache off and on all week, so I'm staying home and taking it easy today.  :)

Damn you Nest for screwing up my siggy!

  • Mel, I have been to Polish mass before and it is long and awful when you can't understand a lick of what they are saying! I am looking forward to relaxing this weekend a bit. Hopefully.....
  • morning! Our upstairs neighbor was stomping and running around until 4 am! It kept nolan and myself up so we were not happy campers. I cannot wait to get into a house.
  • Afternoon...I've been pretty busy today with last minute questions from our accountant on our tax returns and setting up our booth for a home expo all weekend.  Now this last hour is just dragging!  I'd leave early but I'm afraid the accountant will call with more questions and then I will have to come back.
