I know it's a few days off . . .
But anyone have St. Patrick's Day plans? I need to go buy cards to send to my Nana and family. I love the holiday in theory, but I'm not a loud, drunken party with strangers kind of person. I'd rather send it with my close friends and family at an old man bar alternating between Guinness and Harpoon Celtic Ale.
But since we don't have a lot of friends on our schedule in the city, J and I usually just spend it together. I think I may make this recipe and bring it to the bar around the corner since they allow take out. I think the other patrons will be jealous.
Oh and I may have to try this too.
Re: I know it's a few days off . . .
The pudding sounds awesome!! I hate corned beef, but DH makes it himself every year for St. Patrick's Day.
We don't have plans this year. We may go to a bar, but I doubt...it's not really our thing. We'll probably just buy some good beer and have friends over.
Last years was awesome because friends from our hometown came to visit. We all went out and saw a little person dressed up as a leprechaun. It was sweet!
The kids' bday(s) are the day after, so they do it up at their main house... I don't go out for this, but may do the corned beef/cabbage and maybe soda bread... hmmm... then again, we did have that last wkend.
And wearing green, of course.
Mmmm! Corned Beef!
We're making dinner with my sister - a stew with stout in it, soda bread, and Agent's Car Bomb Cupcakes! It's a lovely day for a Guiness!
Sounds about right. I might put Hunter in a green shirt. Gone are the days of binge drinking and eating lucky charms with Bailey's on St. Pat's.
Oh...college. Come back for a visit.
I remember one March 18th when I had to leave a developmental psych class and puked on the front steps of the building on my dash home. Holy St. Pat's Hangover.
Um, my junior year I woke up still drunk with beard burn of my face from making out with an Irish jockey in a pub near mid-town. Keeping it classy.
Man, he was hot.
hahah Karrey are you affraid of middgies????
I am soooo out of the loop. I seriously didnt know St. P's day was next week. Its not even on my calendar...what kind of horse $hit is that!
bahahahahaha! Great stories!
