Shampoo/Conditioner recommendations?

I'm on the market for some new shampoo. I have used Frederick Fekkai glossing shampoo and conditioner for years (and I still love it) but I'm trying to economize a bit and can't justify spending $23 on a bottle of shampoo anymore.

So...what do you use and love? I've been eyeing the Pantene Nature Fusion line. Has anyone tried it? My hair is on the thick side and naturally wavy (I do a lot of heat styling, so something really moisturizing is best!).

TIA :)

  • L'Oreal Ever Pure Sulfate-Free Color Care Shampoo & Conditioners.  I like the Volumizing Shampoo & Conditioner!

  • I haven't tried the pantene you mentioned, but I'm a huge fan of pantene in general.  I've never waivered from it for over ten years.  I love their clarifying shampoo, and have used their ice shine line and volumizing line.
  • I'm so done with department store shampoos...they either break me out or make my hair look like crap.  B&B was the best on me, but that can get expensive which you're trying to avoid.  I'm currently on a brand I purchased on Etsy called Gudonyatoo, and so far it's awesome.

  • I use to always be on the shampoo search, I literary thought I would never find a shampoo I would like. then I tried herbal essences long term relationship shampoo and conditioner. I love it I've been using it for almost a year. <---- that totally sounds like something from a infomercial. lol
  • I'm no help...I use Biolage and Redken...$
  • I'm a total cheapskate when it comes to beauty products- something I inherited from my mom I guess.  I have never spent that much money on shampoo or anything else that just goes down the drain.  In my experience with the cheap stuff, it doesn't really matter so much which shampoo you use- as long as you don't use something harsh like regular soap, its job is just to get your hair clean.  But the conditioner will make or break you.  I use Sauve shampoo and I honestly can't tell the difference between it and Pantene, Herbal Essences, or the expensive salon brands.  And it's like $1.50 a bottle or something.  I've been using Pantene Smooth Conditioner for a few years now and love it.  It keeps my hair soft and shiny and really moisturized.  I also use a Pantene deep conditioner once a week in the winter cause my hair gets really dry in winter.  It's funny, cause whenever I go to the salon the stylist will always comment on how soft and healthy my hair is.  Then she'll ask which products I use and after hearing Pantene will then try to sell me on the salon brands. Yeah... no.
  • I'm not really a fan of Pantene.  I like Dove but I have very thin, brittle hair which is kind of the opposite of yours.  Really thin strands of hair tangle easily and Pantene makes it worse for me.  Dove is the best I've found that doesn't kill my wallet.
  • I don't know about the specific Pantene you mentioned, but I've been on Pantene for about a year or two and I have no complaints.  There are usually pretty good coupons in our Sunday paper for the brand, so that's why I've been getting it.  I like how it smells, too.

  • I do not like Pantene and Dove strips out hair color.  I use bed head (I know many Walmarts Carry it).  When my hair is really bad I use the Dumb blond (bed head), but on a daily basis I use the other Bed Heads.....not sure if that is help or not....
