Random clicky poll, shopping carts
I went to Costco today, parking was non existent. Oh, but there were several spaces that had turned into cart storage, which annoys the crap out of me. After use, I always put my cart in the designated spot or take it back to the entrance. What about you?

Re: Random clicky poll, shopping carts
Always in the cart stall, because I HAAAAATE thinking there's an empty space and it turns out some asshat has put their cart there.
Ben, on the other hand, was a "put it wherever" kinda guy for ages (although I will say in his defense that - at least in the areas I've lived in - Australia seems to have way fewer cart stalls than is standard in the USA, which is kind of annoying because you have to look and look and look for one and then walk for ages to get to it). It's taken me a few years to break him of that habit and to get him to put the cart where it's supposed to go.
I always try to put it back, but if I'm SUPER far and it's a major PITA to return it properly, I'll park it up on a grassy curb or something.
My biggest peeve at Costco is when people fill up the return cart aisles in a messy fashion. Here, we also use those aisles as passageways through the rows of parking, so when people just jam them up with carts parked this-way and that-way, you have to go all the way around the rows to make it to your car. Is it really that hard to put them together in a line? Super annoying.
