Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Where did my post go?
I posted earlier about our anniversary gifts to each other! I posted it then left for work and now they are gone. . . whatever.
Anyway, I really just wanted to know if anyone had been to Pittsburgh recently. Is there anything to do? We are going there to see the Braves play the Pirates in May, and plan on staying over night. That is DH's anniversary gift from me. So, I kind of wanted to make it a fun weekend. Help!

Pittsburgh! I went to college near there and I have a lot of friends there that I see once or twice a year.
Hmmm... as for things to do, eat at Primanti's, go to the Waterfront, incline, Station Square, Monreoville Mall... that's we do anyway.

We are definitely going to eat at Primanti's. DH has been obsessed with going there since it started showing up on Travel Channel shows and such. Thanks for the suggestions, I will look into them!

I went to Pitt - love it there.
Primanti's is definitely a must-do. Take the Duquesne incline down Mt. Washington. Go to the North shore strip district - tons of restaurants and bars. There's a fun place called Church Brew Works which is this old church turned brewery that I loved to go to. The southside - Carson St. is a fun place to go for a night out - tons of unique bars. You can go visit the Carnegie museums or the Cathedral of Learning on/near Pitt's campus if you want some non-drinking activities. There's decent shopping at the Waterfront. If you want to go to a nice dinner to celebrate your anniversary, try the LeMont on Mt. Washington. Pasquarelli's used to be up there too but I'm not sure if they are still open.
