Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

I went today to the SS office and got my name changed...I feel a bit weird.

After doing the name change I was kicking myself for ordering checks with my new address, 'cause now that I changed my name I will need new checks too (and I will habe to pay for those)...but DH and I went to the bank to open a new account for him and the lady there was super nice...for some reason we ended up talking about my name change and my new checks that I got today on the mail, and she said...well just get me those...I'll shred them and order you new ones with your new name for free...sweet!! Big Smile

    Nick was with me and he was making fun of me and making the lady at the SS office laugh, so I guess that kept me from crying. I did feel weird and when I saw the paper it was like that's not me Sad Oh well...I'll get used to it.

    I didn't cry at the SS office, but I almost did when I got my new SS card in the mail. I felt like my "identity" was just gone with my maiden name.  Now that I've been a MRS for 6 months I've realized I'm still me no matter my last name...LOL

    Yeah for getting it changed! Am I the only one who didn't cry, lol? I think I was too excited to drop the "Lisa Marie" and Change it to "Lisa_My Maiden Name_My New last name" =) That was so cool she did that for free
