I went in for the ultrasound yesterday to confirm I have a hernia. Well, the dr. didn't bother to tell me that they wanted me to have two ultrasounds, a pelvic one and an abdominal one. I ended up having the pelvic one yesterday and was very upset that I wasn't told I needed to do this, because I wasn't even considering any gyno problems. Well they did the ultrasound (i'm told exactly what they would do if I was pregnant) and the technician initially told me when I leave to make the next appointment, but while doing it, she told me she can't tell me what the results are, the dr. will have to, but said I should wait until they call me because it looks like I won't need to make the second appt.
I left the office and just started crying. I have no idea what is going on and am so scared it's something that would prevent me from getting pregnant, or something more serious like cancer. I'm trying not to freak out and DH told me not to worry. But I really don't think it's a cyst, endometreosis, or PCOS, because I have very regular normal periods and was told if it was a cyst, it would have burst by now. I'm going on three weeks of pain and just don't know what else it could be. I was so upset yesterday because I just wasn't even prepared to hear that it could be something gyno related. Any good vibes would be appreciated. I should get a call on Monday.
Re: I need some good nestie vibes
You are freaking yourself out. Deep breaths and happy thoughts. Maybe they did confrm the hernia in the pelvic u/s. Good vibes and happy thoughts your way! It will be nothing! You will be fine. Hugs!
I agree with Gerrie, but I am prone to freak out as well. But in the end, worrying will get you nowhere and may all be for naught.
We are thinking and praying for you! Please keep us updated! HUGS!
I wouldn't worry. Your doc probably ordered it to get several views. I'm a physician assistant, and when we order ultrasounds or x-rays, we usually order at least 2 different views. I'm not on this board much, but you mentioned pregnancy and PCOS...don't worry...I have PCOS and got pregnant within 6 months of going off the pill. Good luck!!
