I almost forgot that its a week from today! Is anyone going out? I'd kind of like to go to the parade in Southie since we haven't gone I'm guessing it could be an interesting experience...

Re: St. Patty's Day
In the past I liked going out for dinner. Get a pint of (green) beer and some sheperd's pie.
Guess thats not an option this year.
The parade sounds like a fun thing to do at least once.
If I get a chance, I'll go out on St. Patrick's Day because at midnight (12AM 3/18 - A/W moment) I celebrate my birthday!!
I think this year I might go to Mr. Dooley's in the Financial District. It's my favorite pub.
This sounds like a great idea, but I saw that it was REALLY early this year, last weekend I think.
Laina, you must have had a fun 21st birthday going out at midnight on St. Patty's day!
Unfortunately, I didn't do anything fun on St. Patty's day that year.
I think I actually went to Fire and Ice with my parents.
For my 23rd birthday I went to Vegas with a former friend of mine whose birthday was 4 days before mine. That was the best vacation!! St. Patty's in Vegas is soooo much fun! And insane. Hmmm, room service buffalo wings at 3AM.

We usually went out when we lived in Boston- I wouldn't drink the green beer though DH would! I already have enough iffy colored urine as it is due to kidney stones, I don't need food dye helping matters!
I don't know what we'll do this year. The Irish pride isn't quite what it was in Boston down here!
I'm 1/2 Irish but I am totally guilty of not doing anything besides trying to war green if I go out (school, work, etc).
But, since I am doing my schoolwork at home this semester, I will likely not even do that.
Irish pride FAIL. :-)
Haha, I would imagine that's true! We might have to celebrate just for that reason since we might move soon!
I'll probably make lots of green desserts for work, but other than that not too much.
I'm thinking of making corned beef and cabbage, even though DH says he doesn't like it. We will see if I have the energy :-)
