My little man starts his first real big boy baseball season this week. I cant believe in just 3 short months he will be 8 years old. He is such an amazing kid.
Chris is the total baseball dad. Hes going out today to get his equipment and Im sure he will come home with more than he will actually need. We are taking him to the batting cages tonight to let him get some practice with the pitching machines since thats what his age level bats with. I just cant believe it.
He was out having a catch with the kid across the street and using his glove for now. Problem is, Chase is left handed and using a right handed glove. Well, at least now we know hes not afraid of being hit by a ball since he got hit right in the cheek. Im going to have to carry those instant cold packs. I am now officially a baseball mom.
Re: My little guy is getting so big
Aw yay!
Get yourself some chairs. Those bleachers are awful. Umbrellas are good to keep the sun off you too. They'll play through a certain amount of rain too. Gatorade is good. Yell loud and proud for Chase! (also, be nice to the coaches just because they do work really hard and it is a huge time commitment and do NOT complain about Chase's playing time because they do try to be fair but if you complain it could impact his playing time because most coaches have a rule that if you complain about playing time you get less, not more.)

Steve has parents on his team(s) that still think this is his job. Especially now that he's coaching high schoolers looking to play ball in college and the parents think it is totally Steve's job to get them scholarships.
