I lead a life on the edge
This morning I scraped and cleaned our glass stove top with some special cleaning stuff we found in a box of crap we sorted through over the weekend. Sadly, this is the most interesting thing I?ve done so far today (well, aside from accidentally posting porn in my post below, heh). But hey, the stove top looks really good now!
Please tell me how boring your day has been to make me feel better. Or how awesome it's been to make me jealous. I'll take whatever I can get.
Re: I lead a life on the edge
I spent 4 hours and 48 minutes walking. Seriously.
Although, then it was made up for by a matinee of Chicago at a local theatre - with John O'Hurley in it no less!
Please tell me there are photos.
Our washing machine is broken and awaiting parts so I had to hand wash and wring out two loads of laundry in our bathtub before lugging them to the basement to throw in the dryer.
It took me an hour for the wringing. I suddenly appreciate the history of laundry machines a lot more.

I'll also add that the highlight of my day was making meyer lemon curd... except my impromptu double boiler (a steel bowl on top of a pot) became vacuum suctioned together...
It took me the better part of an hour to pry them apart, and in the end I had to freeze the pot/bowl, then put them on the stove and fill the bowl with ice. So, the water still in the pot was hot (and the metal expanded) while the bowl was cold from the ice. Thank god for the interwebz, otherwise I'd probably still be bashing that thing on the counter.
On the plus side, the lemon curd is excellent. I made frozen meringue parfaits with it!

I didn't get out of my PJs until 4 (neither did Jack).
I begged DH to give me a reason to get out of the house. We went to Home Depot for mulch and the health food store for probiotics.
I did get the cloth diapers washed.
Heh, this is how I feel about dryers. A surprising amount of people in Australia don't use them, so I didn't have one until last year and I spent 7 years using clotheslines. My dryer is now hands down my favorite appliance - you can get used to not having one, but OMG life is soooo much better.
I read a post on another board a couple of weeks ago where someone was proudly saying how they'd decided to line-dry all of their sheets etc and they were so happy because they smelled nice...yeah, talk to me when it's the middle of winter and has been raining for ages so all of your clothes are hung up all over your house and they're STILL not dry after 3 days and you have nothing but icky damp clothes to wear to work. It's one thing to have the option of not using your dryer, another thing not to have one at all!
LOL sorry, I went off on a tangent there...but I think we definitely take things like washers and dryers for granted until we don't have them!
I totally love to line dry everything in the summer (on nice days) but would NEVER just opt out of having a dryer. I hang dry a lot of my clothes year round (especially maternity b/c I didn't want them shrinking!!) but still... my dryer is a must have
fun! My mom and I had so much fun registering for the baby (and getting gifts at the shower was a lot of fun too!)
I have a family shower next weekend and can't wait to get fun baby boy stuff now that he's here.

today was Bea's birthday (3!) so Tim we spoiled her rotten today - Tim made her a mini bacon cheeseburger (it was too cute) and then we went over to our friends (who have a dog who is Bea's best friend) to play.
what else did we do...we hung some artwork on our walls that has been sitting on our floors for three months since we moved in.
so, um, yeah, exciting day.
For some reason I got an instant mental picture of dudes in sailor outfits with a large hole in their pants so that their buttox peek out.
LMAO!!!!
