Are your kitchens painted? If so what color? I've been trying to find a color I like. I don't want green, yellow, or burgandy. I was thinking a purple color. The main rooms will be a taupe color & the bathroom is brown so no more browns. I'm sick of white walls too.

Mine is painted. The color is 'Teepee,' which I think is kind of a gold color.

We will be painting our kitchen. I'm actually going to try something different although I'm prepared for it to not come out quite right and to go with a solid color. We're going to try to go for a Mediterranean theme in the kitchen and I might try my hand at painting the walls to look like they're made out of stone. I've seen pictures and figured out how to do it and DH is all for me trying it...but like I said, I'm not sure how good I'll do so we might just end up with a beige-ish colored walls instead.

This is the color of my kitchen but with off white Cabinets!

cabinets are white and countertops are tanish color. I actually dont like the cabinets, but that will be a project down the road.

The nice part about white cabinets though is that they can work with almost any paint color.

exactly! I dont mind the lighter color cabinets, it's just they are very old.
Some updated hardware might make all the difference. Little things at first.
I was thinking of painting the kitchen a purplish color.

Our kitchen is one of your "other" colors- yellow. We have friends with a really nice orange kitchen- I wasn't so sure about that at first, but it looks fantastic!

We haven't painted our kitchen. I'm not sure what color I want yet. We have cherry cabinets and our family room is orange so I don't want to clash....

depending on how open the room is, i think a plum or lavender could be really pretty.

Ours is called Dusty Miller. Its hard to explain. At first glance, it looks like a grey color. But if you hold up a grey sample next to it, you can tell it has a blue/green tint to it. I didn't know how I'd like it but I love it. but we figured it would look good next to our stainless and black appliances and some black shelves we put up in the one corner.

Our kitchen is painted a pretty blue. I'm not sure of the exact color, but I've heard others refer to it as "Wedgewood blue."
