Re: anyone go out to the movies over the weekend?
DH and I saw Alice. Eh.
More importantly, we were charged for an adult and a child instead of two adults. We're trying to figure out which one of us looks younger than 13!
We went out to see Alice in Wonderland *last* weekend. I freaking loved it... but I'm incredibly biased when it comes to Tim Burton films. :P
We watched The Orphanage last night, but we rented that so we didn't really go out. As with every Guillermo Del Torro film I've ever seen it was simultaneously scary, heartbreaking, and absolutely beautiful.
We saw Percy Jackson and the Olympians. The movie was ok. The books are much, much better.
If anyone loved Harry Potter and is searching for a new series, I highly recommend this one. I read all 5 books in like 2 weeks.
A friend and I saw The Blind Side yesterday. LOVED it. Very heartwarming, but not overly cheesy--it made me laugh, it made me cry. It helped to restore my faith in humanity a little bit (even if it were just fictional, but even moreso that it was a true story).
I thought Sandra Bullock played the part incredibly well.
