I do understand that some men like to read the newspaper in the restroom but I thought that practice was saved for home life only. When you walk down the halls with the newspaper under your arm, you are basically advertizing what you are about to do and it's super gross. Let's try to be a little more descrete next time. kthanks!
Re: Dear Co-Worker
Not at all. I think taking your purse to the bathroom when you are on your period is a necessity. And women take their purses to the restroom for a number of reasons: to apply make up, brush their teeth, fix their hair, etc.
lol....That's gross.....purse=necessity. Newspaper=lazy dirty bird...
Love it. And I second (third?) that carrying the newspaper into the bathroom is a dead giveaway. Just get a smartphone so you can read the news discreetly!

It doesn't really bother me but I'm used to it. There's a woman here who does all of her morning stuff at work. I guess she rides a company van and gets here pretty early. Every morning she brushes her teeth, curls her hair, coats it with hairspray, does all her makeup, and changes her shoes in the bathroom.
At my old community college there was a teacher who used to take showers at the school several times/week and always walked around the locker room naked for a while after she got out of the shower. Talk about weird.
And I vote for inappropriate as well. It's one thing if you don't know the person, and you can say, "It's fine - we're all girls." But people in authority positions (like professors, administrators, etc) need to be a little more modest.
Agreed! I feel like people should just be modest anyway! I know it is a locker room, but seriously? I don't need to see you walking around naked and carrying on conversations and whatnot. Do what you've gotta do and get it done!
The toothbrushing thing...I guess it depends on your office environment. At my old job, one girl used to brush and floss after lunch every day. It never really bothered me, but at my new job I would feel uncomfortable since the general public uses the same bathrooms we do vs. just staff.
