F/U Holy house poo!!!
WE GOT THE HOUSE!!!
DH called the guy we know who owns that house we saw come on the market Thurs morning. Friday we did a private walk-through with him...and told him we were willing to give his asking price and very few contingencies if he'd cancel his open house and accept. (We've seen the open house traffic go up insane amounts in that area these past few weeks, and good/well-priced homes are going in days).
Later that night, his wife and he agreed, so we spent a hectic weekend getting the offer together and over to them. They scared the be-jesus out of me by sending back a counter offer...but luckily it was just shifting up a few days and such, nothing major. So as of last night...we are under contract!.
It's going to be a busy week as we try to set up inspections, lenders, etc...won't get into the house until after the baby is born, but I'm fine with that. Then we won't have to rush and can take our time moving.
