Message from My HR Department About Dogs in Need
Hi Girls,
I apologize for posting this, as I know we just had the post about how awful we feel when we hear of situations like this. Our company does a lot of work with the Greenwood Humane Society, which is the reason that we came across this. I just had to post it, because I couldn't see the email and do nothing. I have also forwarded it to a neighbor, and have offered to pay for the food for two of the dogs for the TWO WEEK period that they are needing homes. I feel horrible, because it is only two weeks, but we already have 4 dogs, and just cannot do another one right now. Our house is crazy as it is, and I don't think it would be fair to any of them to add another. That being said, if you or anyone you know can help in any way, please let me know. Also, I think that I made it so you do not have to see the email if you do not scroll down from here, if it will be too upsetting.
URGENT - LAURENS SC POUND
Erin Silks is a transport coordinator in VA who serves Upstate shelter dogs by organizing volunteer transports every 2 weeks from the Upstate to rescues in the north. She has offered to circulate the photos and SOS (below) of our Pound Pooches who are most in need this week. She has to be sure if rescues step up, the dogs will be safe until her next transport 3/27.
I am hoping some people may be able to foster 1-2 from 3/15-3/27 if we can find rescues to commit. Bob and I saved a lot of pound pooches the last few weeks but the Black Labs will never find a home in the south. The rescues up north can help!
If anyone can hold a pound pooch (photos below) until 3/27 please call us right away so we can tell animal control and make sure they are not put down on march 16.

I could help 1, but I need guarantee they are parvo free because I have too many other fosters in and out of here to have that in here.

Just an update--I got an email back today:
Hi Ryan, Thanks for reaching out. I wanted to update you.... yesterday 3/15 a few area rescues ran over to the Pound and pulled 10 dogs with a few more to go later this week. So, Animal Control did not have to euth this morning, and plan to only put down a few mean dogs this week. So we have some extra time. Whew......
Because it was a close call with EUTH schd for today the local HS sent SOS for temp foster help ahead of time so we had fosters lined up for a quick pull from the Pound. As soon as I get the updated list and photos I will send them to you right away!!!
